Our Story

What is the output of our existence, our knowledge and experiences, our thoughts and dreams?

All kinds of products. All kinds; products of thought and art, abstract or concrete products…

Our hands are the means, the makers, the laborers of our creation—and thus, our existence.

The Istanbul Grand Bazaar has been the heart of jewelry craftsmanship since the 15th century.

Precious metals and stones are transformed into jewelry in the centuries-old dimly lit workshops along the narrow streets of the Bazaar,

by the hands of masters.

Apprentices learn from masters; this ancient craft is passed from “hand” to “hand.”

Jewelry touches the body.

Since the first designers, it has been conceived as a wearable extension, continuation, and complement to the body;

over thousands of years, many functions have been attributed to it, from hunting magic to amulets, from seals to talismans.

Even though these functions gradually evolved into adornment and ornamentation,

and even though the materials used in production, the symbols, and the meanings attributed to these symbols may change;

what has remained constant from the beginning until today is that jewelry is “personal.”

The Tanti brand is the dream of its founders and designer,

who attribute value to hands, their skills, and handiwork,

both physically and metaphorically.

Tanti designs are produced using traditional jewelry techniques learned from the highly skilled masters of the Grand Bazaar

and entirely meticulous handcraftsmanship.

They are exquisite, simple, and delicate.

Each product is unique because each one and every detail of each one is handmade.

Where the story of the design and the narration of the designer ends, the user's story begins.

Because stories also change hands…

In loving memory of our Tanti, with endless love and unceasing longing…
